As a community, we support and honor the resilience and strength of transgender individuals. This day helps raise awareness and celebrates the achievements of trans people around the world.

Tobacco Facts & the LGBTQ Community
Did you know that LGBTQ individuals are more likely to smoke than the general population?

Here’s what you can do to quit and improve your health:
1. The Risks of Smoking
Smoking is the leading cause of preventable diseases, including heart disease, lung cancer, and stroke. The LGBTQ community, particularly bisexual or transgender individuals, is at a higher risk for these diseases due to higher smoking rates.
2. Support for Quitting
There are resources specifically for LGBTQ people to help quit smoking. The American Lung Association’s "Freedom from Smoking" program is a great start.
